Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners

                                                           

Starting salary for trainees 19,000

Salary for qualified 22,500 - 25,000

Full time – 37.5 hours per week

 

We are seeking a number of well-motivated individuals to work as part of Mind’s provision to the Norfolk and Waveney Wellbeing Service.  This is a service commissioned by five CCG areas within Norfolk and Waveney and is a partnership between NHS, Mind and Relate organisations. The service is commissioned to help people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and some more severe mental health problems. Services are provided across Norfolk and Waveney for people aged 16 and over.

The successful candidates will work within the Wellbeing Service, providing high-volume evidenced based low-intensity interventions grounded in CBT principles. At Step 2 our PWPs deliver a range of interventions via face-face and telephone appointments, short courses, and digital CBT interface.

You will have good written and telephone communication skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team.  The service is committed to providing regular caseload and clinical skills supervision, strong team support and CPD opportunities.

Preference will be given to those who have a qualification from a recognised PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions or equivalent) but training will be provided for successful unqualified applicants.  Training requires weekly, two day attendance at The University of Essex and a residential unit (starting in January 2018).  As trainee positions require a level of academic training, evidence of the ability to study at the level required is preferable.  The successful applicants will be committed to delivering excellent client care, be able to work within a team & be responsive and adaptive to change. 

Posts are based in either Norwich, North Walsham, Gt Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Kings Lynn or Wymondham and cover the surrounding areas.  As part of the role you will be expected to work flexibly to suit the needs of the service, this will include some early morning and evening appointments/courses as the service offers support from 8am -8pm Mon – Fri and some Saturday mornings.
