Great Yarmouth - Various locations around Great Yarmouth.
Are you interested in mental health? Do want to learn more about how people recover from experiences like depression, anxiety and psychosis? Do you want to help people as they find their feet and rebuild their lives? Great Yarmouth and Waveney Mind and St Martins are looking for passionate people who want to make a difference.
Working in recovery means supporting people to make sense of their experiences, to identify what gives their life purpose and then to help them rebuild their lives after a period of crisis. You will enjoy fostering creative, meaningful and hopeful connections with people which empower them to focus on what they can do.
We are looking for people with experience or knowledge that could help improve someone’s mental health, their physical health, their social networks and their engagement with specialist services. You do not necessarily need to have experience in the mental health field if you have it in other areas of social care.
In return we will provide you with recovery-focused, trauma-informed training that will prepare you to do the best job possible. You will have the support of a team and line-manager which will include reflective practice and supervision. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and work for one of the leading mental health charities in the county.
The roles will require working flexibly and remotely as part of a geographically-spread team, including daily local travel within the service locality and, where appropriate, working within wider localities across Norfolk. We have roles across the whole of Norfolk.
If you want to be a part of shaping the future for the better and have the drive to help others to maximise their potential then we would love to hear from you.
Please apply immediately, interviews will be arranged flexibly around you. If you would like to find out more about the new service or the roles please visit www.stmartinshousing.org.uk (Intensive Recovery Worker) or www.gywmind.org.uk (Recovery worker & Social Inclusion)
